Express Entry requires an interested candidate to first confirm their eligibility for any of the three primary economic Canadian immigration programs under the IRCC system. They include-
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- The Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Under the Express Entry system individual provinces and territories can also nominate candidates so as to meet their labor market shortages/demands.
The IRCC will every two weeks or so conduct a randomized Express Entry Draw and any successful candidates that meet and exceed the CRS cut-off score will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for the Canadian Permanent Residence. These candidates will have 60 days from the date of receipt to complete and submit their PR application.
