Who Can Apply and How to Apply

• Applicants must be born after 1st January 1992 (for master’s program) or 1st January 1987 (for PhD program), and meet the admission criteria for international students of USTC or UCAS.
• Applicants must not take up other assignments during the period of the scholarship, and must not be currently pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree at any university/institution in China.
• Applicants must file and submit their application in the USTC or UCAS admission system as requested before the deadline, and choose “the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents” in their application.

• USTC, UCAS, and CAS are the leading founding members of ANSO and the host institutions of the ANSO Scholarship.
• USTC is the first university established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1958 and is a comprehensive university oriented to frontier science and high technology. It is a member of the China 9 Consortium, consisting of the top 9 universities in China, and is ranked among the best universities in China and the world.
• UCAS, formerly named the Graduate School of CAS, was the first graduate school in China. It is the largest graduate education institution in China, with over 50,000 ongoing students, and more than half of them are doctoral students.
